We employ services and products to reduce and monitor your energy consumption. The advantages is less environmental impact, greater deal of financial security and a higher annual energy savings. When we view the sustainable energy hierarchy, conservation is at the top. Capitol Energy can assist you with the following products and services to make your company more sustainable, carbon neutral, and energy independent.
energy audits
We perform ASHRAE certified, investment grade audits of your facilities reviewing electricity, natural gas, propane, oil, waste, water, and transportation. After the audit, we will include recommended equipment along with projected financial savings and benefits. Our audit is not typical where we only review the HVAC systems, lighting, and production related equipment but we encompass all items inside the building envelope and on the grounds. We'll identify all areas of energy savings to maximize your investment.

energy management systems (EMs)
The EMS monitors, measures, controls, and optimizes the performance of your energy system. You can centrally control HVAC and lighting systems across one or multiple sites on a global scale. The system shows metering and monitoring functions so facility leaders can gather data and insight that will allow them to make informed decisions on energy activities across their sites.

energy storage
We provide technology to store electrical energy so that it will be available to meet your demand whenever needed. Our devices can manage the amount of power required at times when the need is greatest; during peak loads and cost spikes, start-ups, power outages or curtailment. Storage is sometimes used to shift energy consumption to alternate times for better load balancing between the supply and demand.

cogeneration (chp)
Combined heat and power (CHP) is an efficient and clean approach to generating power and using the heat from one fuel source at the site. CHP requires less fuel to produce a given energy output, and avoids transmission and distribution losses that occur when electricity travels over the power grid. We can design the system to provide electricity and heat to a site regardless of what occurs on the power grid thus decreasing impact of outages. Since less fuel is being utilized, air pollution and GHG emissions are also far less thus reducing your carbon footprint.

lighting retrofits
We make your buildings and street lighting more energy efficient using LED technology and modern controls. Changing over to LEDs can be a significant energy savings to offset the cost of new equipment. Retrofits not only improve light quality, but also result in less heat in the building envelope thus reducing HVAC run time. Retrofits for businesses, manufacturers and governments adds value to your company and accounts for more than 30% of energy used in most facilities and cities today.

LEED certification
LEED is a green building certification with various levels. To become certified, new construction and renovation projects must reduce the use of energy, water and GHG emissions. LEED is transforming the way our buildings are designed, constructed, maintained and operated. A certified building saves you money and resources, has a positive impact on the environment, and promotes renewable, clean energy. Several cities, federal, state and local government buildings now require LEED construction or incentivize its use in public buildings.

net zero energy (ZEB)
Net Zero Energy building certification, is a program certifying buildings with a zero net energy consumption where the total annual energy used by the building is equal to the amount of renewable energy created on-site. These buildings typically produce enough energy from the sun, wind or earth to meet and/or exceed their annual net demand. Buildings use 40% of primary energy and expel 25% of GHG emissions. If you are looking to have your building or the whole company self-reliant from the grid, this is your program of choice.
