outside sales manager
OVERVIEW
Manager will promote products and services offered by Capitol Energy to potential and existing clients within an assigned territory. He/she will meet with clients to discuss products and services that we can offer to the client and their company. Successful candidates must be extremely driven, personable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The position requires a proven individual with outstanding sales and communication skills, and capable of building rapport and maintaining long-term client relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Meet with clients and explain the products and services offered by Capitol Energy
- Analyze all aspects of clients corporate, sustainability and energy efficiency needs and goals
- Present a solution to fit the clients energy needs to reduce their overall energy costs and dependency
- Build rapport with clients to establish credibility and add value to the relationship
- Exhibit outstanding sales communication with the clients and Capitol Energy team
- Display strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Utilize education based approach to persuasion
- Maintain sales process and communication through email
- Prospect for potential leads to generate a growing pipeline of potential clients
- Build a new book of business in multiple industries

QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree is strongly preferred, but not required
- Strong record of closing deals and securing contracts
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to succeed
- Ability to understand what the clients problems and offer solutions
- Ambitious personality with a high degree of trust and integrity
- Excellent follow-up and communication skills
- Corporate sales strongly preferred, but not required
- Experience working with factory workers to C-Level executives
- Ability to work independently with minimal coaching
- Experience with MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a plus
- Have a laptop and/or tablet to present information at clients site
